List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs In Artesia, California

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehab in Artesia, California

Short term drug and alcohol rehabilitation is one of the more effective types of addiction treatment. Notably, it can prove appropriate for individuals in Artesia who are unable to participate in a long-term rehabilitation program.

Although, there are many factors you should consider while choosing the treatment facility you are going to attend. The three main factors include cost, success rates/effectiveness, and time.

Considering that no universal treatment plan will work for everyone, you will have several treatment options to pick from dependent on your specific requirements and desires. One of these options is short term drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

In most instances, short term rehabilitation will require that you live within the recovery program for a few weeks. These programs are similar to long-term addiction treatment except they are quite a bit shorter yet at the same time ensuring that you receive the support, attention, and supervision that will guarantee you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term rehabilitation will range in length from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you can receive individual and group therapy and counseling while you also start learning more positive life skills and recovery tools that will empower you to confront any problematic situation you may experience as opposed to getting high or drunk.

Usually, short term drug rehab in Artesia, CA. will begin with medical detox. The duration of the program will mainly depend on the severity of your drug or alcohol use as well as for how long you have been using.

After you complete detox, the short term rehab program will utilize other types of treatment tailored to your specific needs and requirements. For instance, treatment might use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatment components will hold you accountable as you try to overcome your recovery.

Other treatment methods that might be offered through short term treatment include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these treatment methods can be performed in short term drug rehab to help modify your behavior, prevent you from continued substance abuse, and show you how to make positive choices so that you don't relapse. You might also learn helpful coping strategies and help you to reduce anxiety, so you do not feel you have to resort to drugs.
