List of Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs In Del Rey, California

How Outpatient Drug Rehab Works in Del Rey, California

If you have been grappling with an extreme substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient drug rehab might not prove useful for you. Before you seek treatment for your substance abuse, you must first complete detoxification to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient alcohol and drug rehab facility will begin the real work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work best if you have already completed another form of rehab - such as a participating in an inpatient drug and alcohol rehab center. You should also be deemed medically stable enough that you can comfortably pursue treatment and recovery with minimal supervision.

When you enroll in an outpatient drug and alcohol rehab program in Del Rey, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Family counseling
  • Group therapy and individual meetings for support and encouragement
  • One-on-one therapy session
  • Medication management, which might be required if you have a co-occurring disorder or have been diagnosed with polysubstance addiction
  • Diet Management
  • One to one counseling and therapy with trained addiction treatment and/or mental health expert
  • Recreational therapy
  • Training in relapse prevention techniques
  • Transitional living

Since outpatient rehabilitation does not require that you reside inside the center, it means that you may need to dedicate yourself to recovery so that the program proves worthwhile in the long run. You should also strive for sobriety and abstain from drugs without any monitoring or care.

As long as your surroundings are conducive to your recovery, you may find that outpatient drug rehabilitation is the best option. This is because you will receive support and assistance at home so that you can carry on focusing on overcoming your addiction - with none of the temptations you may have encountered in the past.
