List of Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs In Scottsburg, New York

How Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Works in Scottsburg, New York

If you have been struggling with an extreme substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient drug and alcohol rehab might not prove useful for you. Before you seek treatment for your substance abuse, you must first undergo detoxification to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient alcohol and drug rehab program will start the official work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work better if you have already completed another form of rehab - such as a participating in an inpatient alcohol and drug rehab. You should also be considered medically stable enough that you can comfortably pursue treatment and recovery with minimal assistance.

When you begin an outpatient drug and alcohol rehab in Scottsburg, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Family therapy sessions
  • Group counseling and support meetings
  • One-on-one therapy session
  • Organization and management of prescribed medications for co-occurring disorders
  • Diet Management
  • Individual counseling with addiction treatment specialists
  • Recreational therapy
  • Relapse Prevention Skills
  • Sober living housing, where required

Since outpatient treatment does not expect that you live inside the center, it means that you might need to dedicate yourself to recovery so that the program proves worthwhile in the long run. You should also desire sobriety and abstain from drugs without any supervision or assistance.

As long as your surroundings are conducive to your recovery, you may find that outpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation is the best option. This is because you will receive help and assistance at home so that you can continue focusing on overcoming your addiction - with none of the pitfalls you might have run into in the past.
