Talbot House is known for dedicating its recovery services to the people who struggle with drug and alcohol use issues in Central Islip and its surrounding areas.
Programs are provided on an individual basis to ensure clients achieve full recovery in the long term. Talbot House has also specialized in cognitive/behavior therapy, matrix model, motivational interviewing, vocational rehabilitation services, individual psychotherapy, activity therapy, and others - as well as many other treatment modalities such as social skills development, seniors or older adults, transgender or (LGBT) clients, clients with HIV/AIDS, programs for the hearing impaired, residential beds for client's children, and more.
Additionally, Talbot House has programs such as outpatient detoxification centers, inpatient drug and alcohol rehabs, short term drug and alcohol rehab facilities, outpatient counseling, long term rehab programs for clients with addictions to drugs and alcohol. The alcohol and drug treatment program uses treatment methods that can provide lasting and permanent stability to any person with a drug and alcohol use disorder. Finally, Talbot House accepts individuals with different types of payment methods - including private pay, private medical insurance, payment assistance, sliding fee scale, county or local government funds, state welfare or child and family services funds and others.
