List of Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs In Angelica, New York

How Outpatient Drug Treatment Works in Angelica, New York

If you have been battling with a severe substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation might not prove suitable for you. Before you seek treatment for your addiction, you must first go through detox to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program will start the official work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work best if you have already completed another form of treatment - such as a participating in an inpatient addiction treatment center. You should also be considered medically stable enough that you can easily pursue treatment and recovery with little to no supervision.

When you begin an outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in Angelica, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Family counseling
  • Group counseling and support meetings
  • One-on-one counseling
  • Organization and management of prescribed medications for co-occurring disorders
  • Nutrition and diet management
  • One on one therapy sessions with licensed treatment counselors
  • Exercise related therapy
  • Relapse prevention
  • Sober living housing, where required

Since outpatient rehab does not demand that you reside inside the facility, it means that you might need to dedicate yourself to recovery so that the program proves worthwhile in the long run. You should also aim for sobriety and abstain from drugs without any supervision or assistance.

As long as your living situation and environment is conducive to your recovery, you might find that outpatient alcohol and drug rehab is the best option. This is because you will receive support and assistance at home so that you can continue focusing on overcoming your addiction - with none of the pitfalls you might have run into in the past.
