List of Outpatient Addiction Treatment Facilities In Olmsted, Illinois

How Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Works in Olmsted, Illinois

If you have been grappling with a severe substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation might not prove useful for you. Before you seek treatment for your condition, you must first undergo detoxification to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient alcohol and drug treatment facility will begin the official work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work best if you have already completed another form of rehab - such as a participating in an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. You should also be considered medically stable enough that you can comfortably pursue treatment and recovery with minimal assistance.

When you enter into an outpatient drug and alcohol rehab center in Olmsted, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Family counseling
  • Group therapy and individual meetings for support and encouragement
  • Individual therapy and counseling
  • Medication management, which might be required if you have a co-occurring disorder or have been diagnosed with polysubstance addiction
  • Nutrition and diet management
  • One on one therapy sessions with licensed treatment counselors
  • Exercise related therapy
  • Relapse Prevention Skills
  • Sober living housing, where required

Since outpatient treatment does not require that you reside inside the center, it means that you might need to dedicate yourself to recovery so that the program proves fruitful in the long run. You should also pursue sobriety and abstain from drugs without any supervision or assistance.

As long as your surroundings are conducive to your recovery, you might find that outpatient alcohol and drug treatment is the best option. This is because you will receive support and care at home so that you can carry on focusing on beating your addiction - with none of the temptations you may have encountered in the past.
