List of Short Term Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities In Briaroaks, Texas

Understanding Short Term Drug Treatment in Briaroaks, Texas

Short term drug treatment is one of the more effective forms of substance abuse rehab. Notably, it may be appropriate for individuals in Briaroaks who cannot go to a long-term rehab program.

Yet, there are a few things you need to consider when deciding on the treatment facility you are thinking about attending. The three major concerns encompass effectiveness/success rates, cost, and program duration.

Because no universal recovery plan will work for all addicts, you will have several options to decide on subject to your particular needs and preferences. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In many instances, short term rehab will require that you live within the rehab program for a couple of weeks or so. These facilities are similar to long-term addiction treatment except they last quite a bit shorter while ensuring that you get the attention, support, and monitoring to ensure you do not relapse.

In particular, short term treatment will range in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you can benefit from individual and group counseling and therapy while you also continue discovering effective life skills that will help you to effectively handle any problematic situation you may run into as opposed to getting high or drunk.

Typically, short term rehab in Briaroaks, TX. will begin with detoxification. The duration of the program will mainly depend on the severity of your substance abuse as well as for how long you have been using.

After you complete detox, the rehabilitation center will perform other methods of treatment depending on your particular needs. For example, the program may use the 12 step method to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatments may help hold you accountable as you try to overcome your addiction.

Other treatment approaches that might be offered in short term treatment include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these treatment methods can be performed to help shape your way of thinking, prevent you from continued drug or alcohol use, and show you ways to make healthier choices so that you do not fall back into substance abuse. You could also discover new coping strategies and help you to reduce anxiety, so you don't feel you need to resort to drugs.
