List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities In Millers Creek, North Carolina

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Millers Creek, North Carolina

Short term drug rehab is one of the more successful forms of substance abuse treatment. Notably, it can be useful for clients in Millers Creek who are unable to attend a long-term rehabilitation program.

Although, there are several factors you should look into while choosing the rehab facility you are thinking about attending. The three main concerns encompass cost, success rates/effectiveness, and time.

Because no universal treatment plan will work for all addicts, you will have some treatment options to pick from depending on your specific requirements and desires. One of these options is short term drug treatment.

In most cases, short term rehabilitation will have you live within the rehab center for a few weeks. These programs are somewhat comparable to long-term treatment programs except they are much shorter in duration yet at the same time making sure that you receive the attention, support, and supervision to make sure you stay sober.

In particular, short term treatment will range in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you may participate in individual and group therapy and counseling while you also continue discovering more positive life skills and recovery tools that will allow you to confront any problematic situation you may run into as opposed to reaching for drugs or alcohol.

Typically, short term drug rehab in Millers Creek, NC. will begin with medically managed detox. The duration of the program will largely depend on the dose and frequency of your drug or alcohol use as well as for how long you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you finish detoxification, the short term treatment program will perform other forms of treatment tailored to your particular needs. For example, treatment might use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatments will hold you accountable as you work through your recovery.

Other treatment methods that may be available through short term treatment include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

All these treatment methods can be provided to help modify your behavior, prevent you from continued substance abuse, and teach you how to make positive decisions so that you don't fall back into substance abuse. You could also discover new coping methods and help you to reduce anxiety, so you do not feel you need to use drugs.
