List of Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs In Muskego, Wisconsin

How Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Rehab Works in Muskego, Wisconsin

If you have been battling with a severe substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient drug rehab may not prove useful for you. Before you look for treatment for your condition, you must first go through detoxification to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient alcohol and drug rehab program will start the official work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work best if you have already completed another form of rehab - such as a staying in an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility. You should also be deemed medically stable enough that you can comfortably pursue treatment and recovery without the need of constant monitoring.

When you enroll in an outpatient alcohol and drug treatment program in Muskego, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Family counseling
  • Group therapy and support meetings
  • Individual therapy and counseling
  • Medication management, which might be required if you have a co-occurring disorder or have been diagnosed with polysubstance addiction
  • Nutrition and diet management
  • Individual counseling with addiction treatment specialists
  • Exercise related therapy
  • Relapse prevention
  • Transitional living

Since outpatient treatment does not require that you reside inside the center, it means that you may need to dedicate yourself to sobriety so that the program proves worthwhile in the long run. You should also desire sobriety and abstain from drugs without any supervision or care.

As long as your environment is conducive to your recovery, you may find that outpatient drug and alcohol treatment is the best option. This is because you will get support and care at home so that you can carry on focusing on beating your addiction - with none of the pitfalls you might have run into in the past.

As far back as the 1700's, the native people told fur traders about the area's mineral springs. In 1868 Col. Richard Dunbar promoted what he believed were healing properties of Waukesha's water, which launched Waukesha County's 'Springs Era'. Through 1910, people traveled cross-country to drink the water. Accounts tell us that up to 25 passenger trains arrived daily. Elaborate 'springhouses' were built above the natural springs. Today's visitors can see the last of the original springhouses on the Moor Downs Golf Course, Frame Park and Springs Park.
