Navajo Nation DBMHS provides recovery treatment and rehabilitation services such as long term drug and alcohol rehabs, outpatient counseling, short term drug rehab programs, outpatient detox programs, inpatient drug and alcohol rehabs, and others to clients residing in the local community so that they overcome their alcohol and drug use issues and achieve full sobriety. It has services - such as brief intervention approach, contingency management/motivational incentive, trauma therapy, behavior modification, individual psychotherapy, vocational rehabilitation services, and others - which follow its philosophy of the programs that work most effectively. This is because Navajo Nation DBMHS believes that complete recovery can only be achieved through highly individualized and personalized care.
In addition, the addiction treatment program specializes in many other programs - like transgender or (LGBT) clients, housing services, co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders, social skills development, substance abuse education, seniors or older adults and more - as well as many other treatment modalities listed below. Further, this alcohol and drug treatment program has aftercare programs that work in line with its treatment methods to make sure that clients maintain permanent, full, and lasting sobriety, stability, and abstinence from drugs and alcohol.
Lastly, Navajo Nation DBMHS accepts private pay, private health insurance, military insurance, medicaid, medicare, state corrections or juvenile justice funds, state welfare or child and family services funds, and more.
