Mid Coast/Parkview Health is committed to assisting anyone with an alcohol or drug abuse problem in Newcastle and its surrounding areas find full recovery. It offers several programs - such as outpatient substance abuse treatment services, long term drug and alcohol rehabs, inpatient addiction treatment centers, short term treatment facilities, inpatient detox programs and others - in line with its belief of the addiction treatment and rehabilitation modalities that are effective in recovery. This alcohol and drug treatment facility also believes that people require individual care to be able to maintain their sobriety.
As such, Mid Coast/Parkview Health has specialized in 12-step facilitation approach, contingency management/motivational incentive, anger management, group therapy, trauma-related counseling, cognitive/behavior therapy and more. At the same time, it accepts clients who are domestic violence, persons with eating disorders, substance abuse education, clients referred from the court/judicial system, social skills development, suicide prevention services, and others. This drug and alcohol rehab uses care modalities that can help clients to achieve abstinence from the substances abused in the past.
