List of Short Term Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities In West Bend, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehab in West Bend, Iowa

Short term drug treatment is among the successful forms of addiction rehabilitation. In particular, it may prove appropriate for people in West Bend who are unable to go to a long-term treatment program.

Yet, there are numerous things you need to look into while selecting the treatment program you are going to attend. The three major concerns include cost, success rates/effectiveness, and time.

Because no universal treatment plan will work for all addicts, you will have several options to pick from dependent on your specific requirements and preferences. Among these options is short term drug rehabilitation.

In many cases, short term rehabilitation will have you live within the recovery center for a couple of weeks or so. These types of programs are similar to long-term treatment programs except they last much shorter in duration yet at the same time making sure that you obtain the attention, support, and supervision that will guarantee you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term rehab will vary in duration from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you may benefit from individual and group counseling and therapy even as you start learning more positive life skills and recovery tools that will allow you to deal with any difficult situation you may run into instead of resorting to substance abuse.

In most cases, short term addiction treatment in West Bend, IA. will begin with medical detox. The duration of the program will mainly depend on the dose and frequency of your drug or alcohol use as well as the length of time you have been using.

After you are done with detoxification, the short term rehab center will utilize other forms of treatment tailored to your specific needs and requirements. For example, treatment might use the 12 step method to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatment components may help hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other treatment approaches that might be offered through short term rehabilitation include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these recovery techniques can be provided to help modify your behavior, discourage you from continued substance abuse, and teach you how to make healthier choices so that you do not relapse. You could also discover new coping methods and help you to reduce anxiety, so you do not feel you need to abuse drugs or alcohol.
