List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs In Popejoy, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehab in Popejoy, Iowa

Short term drug and alcohol treatment is among the effective types of addiction rehabilitation. Notably, it can prove helpful for people in Popejoy who cannot participate in a long-term rehab program.

Yet, there are a few things you should look into while selecting the rehabilitation facility you are going to attend. The three primary factors encompass effectiveness/success rates, cost, and time.

Whereas no universal treatment method will work for all addicts, you will have a few options to choose from depending on your particular needs and preferences. Among these options is short term drug rehabilitation.

In many cases, short term rehab will have you reside within the recovery facility for a couple of weeks or so. These programs are similar to long-term addiction treatment but they are much shorter in duration yet at the same time ensuring that you get the attention, support, and monitoring that will guarantee you do not relapse.

In particular, short term treatment will vary in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you may participate in individual and group counseling while you also start discovering effective life skills that will empower you to confront any difficult situation you may run into instead of resorting to substance abuse.

In most cases, short term drug rehab in Popejoy, IA. will start with detoxification. The duration of the program will mainly depend on the dose and frequency of your substance abuse as well as for how long you have been using.

After you finish the detox step, the short term treatment center will utilize other forms of treatment depending on your individual needs. For instance, treatment might use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatment components may help hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other forms of treatment that may be available in short term treatment include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these treatment methods may be performed in short term drug rehab to help modify your behavior, prevent you from continued substance abuse, and teach you ways to make positive decisions so that you don't relapse. You might also learn helpful coping methods and improve your relaxation, so you do not feel you need to abuse drugs or alcohol.
