List of Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs In Popejoy, Iowa

How Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment Works in Popejoy, Iowa

If you have been battling with an extreme substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient drug and alcohol rehab might not prove suitable for you. Before you seek treatment for your addiction, you must first go through detoxification to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program will start the official work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work better if you have already completed another form of rehab - such as a participating in an inpatient drug and alcohol rehab. You should also be deemed medically stable enough that you can comfortably pursue treatment and recovery by yourself.

When you begin an outpatient addiction treatment center in Popejoy, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Family therapy sessions
  • Group counseling and individual meetings for support and encouragement
  • One-on-one counseling
  • Medication management, which might be required if you have a co-occurring disorder or have been diagnosed with polysubstance addiction
  • Diet Management
  • Individual counseling with addiction treatment specialists
  • Recreational therapy
  • Training in relapse prevention techniques
  • Transitional living

Since outpatient treatment does not expect that you reside inside the center, it means that you may need to dedicate yourself to recovery so that the program proves fruitful in the long run. You should also aim for sobriety and abstain from drugs without any monitoring or care.

As long as your environment is conducive to your recovery, you might find that outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation is the best option. This is because you will receive support and care at home so that you can continue focusing on beating your addiction - with none of the temptations you might have run into in the past.
