List of Short Term Addiction Treatment Centers In Laurens, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehabilitation in Laurens, Iowa

Short term drug treatment is one of the more successful forms of addiction treatment. Notably, it might be beneficial for clients in Laurens who are unable to participate in a long-term rehab program.

Yet, there are a few things you should look into while choosing the rehabilitation facility you are thinking about attending. The three primary factors encompass effectiveness/success rates, cost, and program duration.

Since no universal recovery plan will work for all addicts, you will have several options to choose from dependent on your specific needs and preferences. Among these options is short term drug rehabilitation.

In most instances, short term rehab will require that you reside within the recovery facility for a couple of weeks or so. These facilities are somewhat comparable to long-term addiction treatment but they last much shorter while making sure that you obtain the support, attention, and supervision that will guarantee you stay sober.

In particular, short term rehabilitation will vary in duration from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you will benefit from individual and group counseling and therapy even as you continue learning effective life skills and recovery tools that will empower you to deal with any tempting situation you may run into rather than reaching for drugs or alcohol.

Typically, short term addiction treatment in Laurens, IA. will begin with medical detox. The duration of the program will primarily depend on the severity of your drug or alcohol use as well as the length of time you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you are done with the detox step, the rehab program will use other forms of treatment depending on your specific needs and requirements. For example, treatment may use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatments may help hold you accountable as you try to overcome your addiction.

Other treatment methods that may be offered through short term rehabilitation include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these recovery techniques can be offered to help shape your way of thinking, prevent you from continued drug use, and show you how to make positive choices so that you don't fall back into substance abuse. You may also discover helpful coping strategies and improve your relaxation, so you do not feel you need to resort to drugs.
