List of Long Term Addiction Treatment Centers In Laurens, Iowa

Long Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation and Mental Health Care in Laurens, Iowa

Even after completing a long-term drug and alcohol drug addiction program in Laurens, you may still be required to continue with your treatment. However, some individuals might begin wondering why they would be required to spend so long in such a program.

For example they may assume that it would be more effective to complete short-term rehab before enrolling in an intensive outpatient facility. Still, even though some addicted individuals have found success through this type of rehabilitation, there are individuals who would benefit more by spending several months in an inpatient program. These include addicted individuals with weak recovery skills as well as those who might need extra assistance and support to conquer their drug addiction.

These addicted individuals include those who:

  • Are entirely unable to structure their lives without abusing their alcohol and drugs of choice
  • Come from unsafe neighborhoods and homes that could tempt them to start using again
  • Have co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Start using harmful and mind-altering substances from an early age
  • Finished drug and alcohol addiction treatment but relapse to their previous using patterns

In many instances, long term alcohol and drug rehab may also be accompanied by extended care and mental health rehabilitation. This is because the mental illnesses often co-occur with drug and alcohol addiction - by leading individuals to abuse alcohol and drugs or arising from drug and alcohol abuse - often require long term management and rehabilitation.

Through a Laurens, IA. long-term center, therefore, you will receive all the care and support you need to conquer both your substance abuse and any co-occurring psychological disorder that you are suffering from.

If you choose short-term rehabilitation, you may find that you increasingly isolate yourself, neglect your health and wellness, and cease taking the prescription drugs that doctors recommended to you. This is why long-term alcohol and drug rehabilitation makes sense for individuals with co-occurring disorders and who need more intervention.
