List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabs In Dana, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Dana, Iowa

Short term drug rehab is one of the more successful types of substance abuse rehab. In particular, it can prove appropriate for individuals in Dana who cannot go to a long-term treatment program.

However, there are numerous things you need to look into when deciding on the treatment program you are thinking about attending. The three primary concerns are cost, success rates/effectiveness, and program duration.

Whereas no universal recovery method will work for all addicts, you will have a few treatment options to decide on depending on your specific requirements and desires. Among these options is short term drug rehabilitation.

In most instances, short term rehab will require that you reside within the rehab program for a couple of weeks or so. These facilities are somewhat comparable to long-term addiction treatment except they last quite a bit shorter in duration yet at the same time ensuring that you obtain the attention, support, and supervision that will guarantee you stay sober.

In particular, short term treatment will range in length from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you may benefit from individual and group therapy and counseling even as you continue learning effective life skills and recovery tools that will allow you to effectively handle any difficult situation you may run into rather than resorting to substance abuse.

Usually, short term rehab in Dana, IA. will begin with detoxification. The duration of the program will primarily depend on the dose and frequency of your substance abuse as well as for how long you have been using.

After you complete the detox step, the short term rehab facility will use other methods of treatment depending on your particular requirements and preferences. For example, the program might use the 12 step method to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatment components will hold you accountable as you work through your recovery.

Other forms of treatment that might be available in short term rehabilitation include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

These recovery techniques may be offered in short term drug rehab to help modify your behavior, deter you from continued drug use, and show you how to make healthier choices so that you don't fall back into substance abuse. You might also learn new coping methods and improve your relaxation, so you don't feel you have to abuse drugs or alcohol.
