List of Long Term Addiction Treatment Facilities In Golden, Colorado

Long Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment and Mental Health Care in Golden, Colorado

Upon completion of a long-term drug drug addiction program in Golden, you might still be required to continue with your treatment. However, some people might start wondering why they need to spend such an extensive period of time in such a center.

For example they may assume that it would be more useful to complete short-term rehab before checking into an intensive outpatient facility. Still, even though some addicts have found sobriety through this type of treatment, there are people who would benefit more by spending several months in an inpatient center. These include addicted individuals with less robust recovery skills as well as those who might need extra help and support to overcome their drug and alcohol addiction.

These addicts include those who:

  • Are utterly unable to function in their lives without abusing their alcohol and drugs of choice
  • Come from unsafe neighborhoods and homes that could tempt them to begin using again
  • Have co-occurring psychological disorders
  • Start using intoxicating and mind-altering substances from an early age
  • Completed drug and alcohol addiction rehab but relapse to their previous using habits

In many instances, long term drug rehabilitation may also be accompanied by extended care and mental health rehab. This is because the mental illnesses often co-occur with drug addiction - by leading individuals to abuse alcohol and drugs or arising from substance abuse - often require long term management and treatment.

Through a Golden, CO. long-term program, therefore, you will receive all the care and support you need to conquer both your drug and alcohol abuse and any co-occurring mental health disorder that you are suffering from.

If you opt for short-term treatment, you may discover that you particularly isolate yourself, neglect your health and wellness, and cease taking the prescription drugs that doctors recommended to you. This is why long-term drug treatment makes sense for people with co-occurring disorders and who need more intensive care.
