List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabs In Quitman, Arkansas

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehab in Quitman, Arkansas

Short term drug and alcohol treatment is among the successful types of addiction rehabilitation. In particular, it may be beneficial for people in Quitman who are unable to participate in a long-term rehabilitation program.

Yet, there are a few things you should look into while choosing the rehab facility you are thinking about attending. The three primary factors encompass effectiveness/success rates, cost, and program duration.

Considering that no universal treatment plan will work for everyone, you will have several options to choose from depending on your specific requirements and preferences. Among these options is short term drug rehab.

In many cases, short term rehabilitation will require that you live within the recovery facility for a couple of weeks or so. These programs are somewhat comparable to long-term rehab programs except they are much shorter in duration yet at the same time ensuring that you obtain the attention, support, and supervision to ensure you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term rehabilitation will vary in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you can receive individual and group therapy and counseling even as you continue learning effective life skills that will empower you to effectively handle any problematic situation you encounter instead of getting high or drunk.

Usually, short term drug rehab in Quitman, AR. will start with medical detox. The program length will primarily depend on the severity of your substance abuse as well as the length of time you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you complete detox, the rehab facility will perform other forms of treatment tailored to your specific needs. For instance, treatment might use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatments will hold you accountable as you try to overcome your recovery.

Other treatment methods that may be offered through short term rehabilitation include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

These recovery techniques may be provided in short term drug rehab to help shape your way of thinking, prevent you from continued drug use, and show you ways to make positive choices so that you do not relapse. You could also discover new coping skills and help you to reduce anxiety, so you don't feel you need to use drugs.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
