List of Long Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs In Mount Pleasant, Arkansas

Why Long-Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Works in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas

NIDA, or the National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that long term drug and alcohol rehab in Mount Pleasant is among the most effective forms of drug addiction rehabilitation. This is due to the fact that statistics indicate that these centers often boast higher rates of success and can lead to better results in the long run.

Whereas short-term residential programs only requires you to take part in rehabilitation for a couple of weeks, long term drug treatment may last for several months and sometimes up to a year or longer.

In certain ways, therefore, long term treatment works as a sort of halfway house that allows the most vulnerable addicted individuals a period of intensive care. While there, therefore, you will be in an environment overseen closely by physicians and other health care practitioners for a long time. This means that you may enjoy a more significant potential for recovery.

That said, long term addiction rehab centers in Mount Pleasant, AR. vary considerably. Whereas some of these centers will provide you with eight hours of counseling per week and allow you to spend 7 hours daily on predetermined activities, others will offer more activities.

However, most long-term treatment centers will insist you to abide by a set of ethos, norms, and regulations - failure to comply may be cause for you to be formally discharged from the facility. Still, others are lenient and could even permit you to spend some of the nights with friends and members of your family, or to work outside the program here and there.

Overall, however, Mount Pleasant, Arkansas long term drug rehabilitation is among the most effective of all types of rehabilitation. This is because drug addiction is such a chronic and cyclic disorder that demands long term care and oversight - which should persist on even after you check out of the treatment center. Long-term rehab could also reduce your risk of relapse as well as teach you how to function and operate ordinarily by living a drug and alcohol free lifestyle.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
