List of Long Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment Facilities In Edgemont, Arkansas

Why Long-Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment Works in Edgemont, Arkansas

NIDA, or the National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that long term drug and alcohol rehabilitation in Edgemont is among the most workable forms of addiction rehab. This is due to the fact that statistics show that these facilities often have higher rates of success and can lead to better outcomes in the long run.

Whereas short-term residential facilities will only require you to participate in rehab for a couple of weeks, long term drug and alcohol treatment might last for several months and sometimes up to a year or longer.

In certain ways, therefore, long term rehab works as a type of halfway house that allows the most vulnerable addicted individuals a period of intensive care. During your stay, therefore, you will be in an environment overseen closely by physicians and other health care practitioners for a long time. Meaning, that you may enjoy a higher potential for recovery.

That said, long term drug addiction rehabilitation facilities in Edgemont, AR. vary considerably. Whereas some of these centers will offer 8 hours of counseling weekly and permit you to spend seven hours per day on structured activities, others will offer more activities.

However, most long-term rehabilitation facilities will insist you follow a set of ethos, norms, and rules - failure to comply may be cause for you to be formally expelled from the facility. Still, others are not as rigid and could even allow you to spend some of the nights with friends and loved ones, or to work outside the program from time to time.

Overall, however, Edgemont, Arkansas long term drug and alcohol treatment is among the most effective of all types of rehab. This is due to the fact that drug and alcohol addiction is such a chronic and cyclic condition that demands long term care and monitoring - which should persist on even after you check out of the rehab program. Long-term rehab could also lower your risk of relapse in addition to teaching you how to function and operate ordinarily by living a drug and alcohol free lifestyle.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
