List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment Facilities In Des Arc, Arkansas

Continued Care Following Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Des Arc, Arkansas

One of the advantages when you complete short term treatment is that you can afterward ease into long-term rehab. As such, this form of rehabilitation is suggested for recovering individuals in Des Arc who have either relapsed or are at risk of relapse because they can immerse themselves in an additional drug-free setting to continue safely working on their addiction.

After you finish and leave a rehabilitation program, it is highly possible that you will find yourself near the same places where you used to abuse drugs prior to going to rehab. This is because the same triggers - people, situations, and environment - that could prompt you to start using again are still there.

Since it can be extremely challenging to shift back into a new sober life after completing long-term treatment where you were able to concentrate on healing and support for several months, you might find that going to short term rehab in Des Arc, AR. could likely help you sustain your newly acquired sobriety, resolve, and attitude against substance abuse and addiction.

During short term drug treatment, therefore, you will work on how to have a more productive way of life regardless of any difficulties you might encounter. The program will also teach you how to think and act differently - which can be very helpful in ensuring that you can deal with any stressful situation you face.

Additional elements of addiction rehabilitation and continued care include:

  • How to recognize triggers and avoid them
  • How to surround yourself with support through community groups, outpatient treatment, and stays at sober living facilities
  • How to create a more favorable environment at home and work

Finally, short term treatment will have a wide range of rehab components that will help you use new recovery skills in your life and keep on sticking to the new philosophies and morals you have learned once you leave the rehab facility.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
