List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers In Concord, Arkansas

What is Short-Term Rehab in Concord, Arkansas

A short term drug and alcohol rehab is best suited for people with a short history of abuse or abuser's that wish to stop abusing drugs or alcohol but are finding it difficult to do so. When you use substances that are habit forming even for a brief period of time you can get addicted. Drug and alcohol addiction reveals itself when you make the decision to stop taking the substance but you are having difficulty due to physical and/or psychological withdrawal symptoms. If you abuse an addictive drug such as meth crack, heroin, roxycodone, dexedrine, amytal or any other addictive drugs for even a brief duration of time you may have a hard time stopping on your own. If this is the situation you find yourself in, a short term drug rehab center in Concord could be the appropriate choice.

When you quit addictive substances cold turkey you may develop what are known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms will cause both psychological and physical discomforts such as weakness, shakiness, craving, clammy skin, feeling cold, sweating, agitation, crying, excitability, irritability, delirium, restlessness, hallucinations, depression, paranoia, severe anxiety and more. Withdrawal symptoms can bring about compulsions to keep using the drug to alleviate the symptoms even though you really desire to quit using the substance. If this sounds like you or your loved one's situation, then you could benefit from the assistance of a short term drug and alcohol treatment center.

The initial step of a short term treatment program for addiction is detoxification. Medical detoxification is a process that minimizes withdrawal symptoms with medications designed to safely and comfortably get you off the drug. After detoxification is finished, you will receive psychological support and education to help you strengthen your recovery so that you may live a happy, drug-free life. A short term treatment program in Concord, AR is usually only 28 to 30 days in length and the benefits can change your life forever.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
