List of Long Term Addiction Treatment Centers In Concord, Arkansas

Why Long-Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Works in Concord, Arkansas

NIDA, or the National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that long term alcohol and drug rehab in Concord is among the most effective forms of drug and alcohol addiction rehab. This is due to the fact that statistics show that these centers often boast higher success rates and can result in better results in the long run.

Whereas short-term residential centers only requires you to take part in rehabilitation for a couple of weeks, long term drug rehab might last for many months and sometimes up to a year or longer.

In some way, therefore, long term rehab works as a type of halfway house that allows the most vulnerable addicts a period of intensive care. While there, therefore, you will be in an environment controlled tightly by doctors and other health care practitioners for a long time. This means that you may enjoy a higher potential for recovery.

That said, long term drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation facilities in Concord, AR. vary notably. Whereas some of these facilities will offer eight hours of counseling per week and allow you to spend seven hours daily on predetermined activities, others will offer more activities.

However, most long-term rehabilitation facilities will insist you to abide by a set of ethos, norms, and rules - failure to comply might be cause for you to be prematurely discharged from the program. Still, others are lenient and could even permit you to spend some of the nights with friends and loved ones, or to work outside the program from time to time.

Overall, however, Concord, Arkansas long term drug and alcohol treatment is among the most effective of all types of rehabilitation. This is because drug addiction is such a chronic and cyclic condition that demands long term care and oversight - which should continue even after you check out of the treatment facility. Long-term rehabilitation could also reduce your risk of relapse in addition to teaching you how to handle life and operate ordinarily by living a sober lifestyle.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
