List of Long Term Addiction Treatment Facilities In College Station, Arkansas

Long Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation and Mental Health Care in College Station, Arkansas

Upon completion of a long-term drug drug addiction program in College Station, you may still be required to continue with your rehab. However, some individuals might start wondering why they need to spend so long in such a center.

For example they may assume that it would be more effective to complete short-term rehab before checking into an intensive outpatient center. Still, even though some addicts have found sobriety through this form of treatment, there are individuals who would benefit more by spending a number of months in an inpatient program. These include addicted individuals with less robust recovery skills as well as those who may need additional assistance and support to conquer their drug and alcohol addiction.

These addicted individuals include those who:

  • Are utterly unable to function in their lives without abusing their drugs of choice
  • Come from unsafe areas and homes that could tempt them to begin using again
  • Have co-occurring psychological disorders
  • Begin using intoxicating and mind-altering substances from a young age
  • Completed drug addiction rehabilitation but relapse to their previous using habits

In many cases, long term alcohol and drug rehabilitation may also be accompanied by extended care and mental health treatment. This is because the mental illnesses often co-occur with drug and alcohol addiction - by leading people to abuse drugs or arising from substance abuse - often need long term management and rehabilitation.

Through a College Station, AR. long-term center, therefore, you will get all the care and support you need to overcome both your substance abuse and any co-occurring mental health condition that you are struggling with.

If you choose short-term rehabilitation, you might discover that you increasingly isolate yourself, neglect your physical health and wellness, and cease taking the prescription drugs that physicians recommended to you. This is why long-term drug rehab makes sense for individuals with co-occurring conditions and who need more intervention.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
