List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs In Speedwell, Virginia

Continued Care Following Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Speedwell, Virginia

One of the advantages when you finish short term rehab is that you can afterward ease into long-term rehab. As such, continued care is ideal for recovering individuals in Speedwell who have relapsed or are at risk of relapse because they can immerse themselves in another substance-free setting to continue effectively treating their addiction.

After you complete a rehabilitation program, it is highly possible that you will encounter the same environment where you used to abuse drugs prior to going to rehab. This is because the same triggers - people, places, and things - that can influence you to start using again will still be there.

Since it can be particularly challenging to shift back into the "real world" after leaving long-term rehabilitation where you were able to concentrate on treatment and support for several months, you may realize that attending short term rehab in Speedwell, VA. can likely help you hold on to your newly found abstinence, resolve, and attitude against substance abuse and addiction.

During short term drug treatment, therefore, you will work on how to have a more positive and healthy life regardless of any challenging situations you may run into. The program will also help you to learn to think and act differently - which could be very helpful in ensuring that you are able to handle any stressful situation you encounter.

Other elements of substance abuse rehabilitation and continued care include:

  • How to create a more favorable environment at home and work
  • How to recognize triggers and avoid them
  • How to surround yourself with support through community groups, outpatient treatment, and stays at sober living facilities

Ultimately, short term drug rehabilitation will have a wide array of rehab components that will help you utilize new recovery skills in your life and keep on sticking to the new principles you learned once you leave the rehabilitation facility.
