List of Long Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment Facilities In Critz, Virginia

Long Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment and Psychological Care in Critz, Virginia

Even after completing a long-term alcohol and drug drug addiction program in Critz, you might still be required to continue with your rehabilitation. However, some people may begin wondering why they would be required to spend such an extensive period of time in such a center.

For example they may assume that it would be more useful to complete short-term treatment before checking into an intensive outpatient program. Still, even though some addicted individuals have found sobriety through this type of rehab, there are individuals who would gain more by spending a number of months in an inpatient facility. These include addicts with less robust recovery skills as well as those who may require extra assistance and support to overcome their addiction.

These addicts include those who:

  • Are entirely unable to function in their lives without abusing their alcohol and drugs of choice
  • Come from unsafe neighborhoods and homes that could tempt them to start using again
  • Have co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Start using intoxicating and mind-altering substances from an early age
  • Finished drug addiction rehabilitation but relapse to their old using habits

In many instances, long term alcohol and drug rehab might also be accompanied by extended care and psychological rehabilitation. This is because the mental illnesses often co-occur with drug addiction - by leading individuals to abuse drugs and alcohol or arising from alcohol and drug abuse - often require long term management and rehabilitation.

Through a Critz, VA. long-term facility, therefore, you will receive all the care and help you need to overcome both your drug and alcohol abuse and any co-occurring mental health disorder that you are suffering from.

If you choose short-term rehabilitation, you might discover that you increasingly isolate yourself, neglect your physical health and wellness, and cease taking the medications that doctors recommended to you. This is why long-term drug rehabilitation makes sense for individuals with co-occurring disorders and who require more intensive care.
