List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs In Truesdale, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehabilitation in Truesdale, Iowa

Short term drug treatment is one of the more successful types of addiction rehab. That is, it can be helpful for people in Truesdale who cannot participate in a long-term treatment program.

Although, there are several things you need to consider while selecting the rehab center you are going to attend. The three major factors are effectiveness/success rates, cost, and time.

Whereas no universal recovery plan will work for all addicts, you will have some treatment options to pick from depending on your specific needs and desires. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol treatment.

In most cases, short term rehabilitation will require that you live within the rehab facility for a couple of weeks or so. These programs are somewhat comparable to long-term treatment programs except they are quite a bit shorter while making sure that you obtain the attention, support, and supervision to ensure you do not relapse.

In particular, short term treatment will range in duration from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you can participate in individual and group counseling and therapy even as you continue discovering effective life skills that will allow you to deal with any difficult situation you may experience instead of getting high or drunk.

In most cases, short term drug rehab in Truesdale, IA. will begin with medically managed detox. The program length will mainly depend on the dose and frequency of your addiction as well as for how long you have been using.

After you are done with the detox step, the short term rehab center will perform other types of treatment tailored to your specific requirements and preferences. For instance, treatment may use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatments may help hold you accountable as you try to overcome your recovery.

Other treatment methods that might be offered in short term rehabilitation include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

These recovery techniques may be provided in short term drug rehab to help modify your behavior, prevent you from continued drug or alcohol use, and teach you ways to make positive choices so that you do not fall back into substance abuse. You might also discover new coping skills and improve your relaxation, so you do not feel you have to resort to drugs.
