List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities In Swea City, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Swea City, Iowa

Short term drug and alcohol rehab is among the effective forms of substance abuse treatment. In particular, it can be useful for people in Swea City who cannot attend a long-term treatment program.

Although, there are a few factors you should look into when selecting the rehab center you are going to attend. The three main concerns include cost, success rates/effectiveness, and program duration.

Because no universal recovery method will work for everyone, you will have a few treatment options to pick from dependent on your specific requirements and preferences. Among these options is short term drug rehabilitation.

In many cases, short term rehabilitation will require that you live within the treatment facility for a few weeks. These programs are somewhat comparable to long-term rehab programs except they last much shorter in duration yet at the same time ensuring that you obtain the support, attention, and supervision to ensure you stay sober.

In particular, short term rehabilitation will vary in length from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you can participate in individual and group counseling and therapy while you also start learning effective life skills that will allow you to effectively handle any problematic situation you encounter rather than resorting to substance abuse.

Typically, short term rehab in Swea City, IA. will begin with medical detox. The program duration will mainly depend on the dose and frequency of your substance abuse as well as the length of time you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you finish the detox step, the rehab facility will use other types of treatment depending on your particular needs. For instance, the program might use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatment components may help hold you accountable as you work through your recovery.

Other forms of treatment that might be offered through short term rehab include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these recovery techniques may be provided in short term drug rehab to help shape your way of thinking, discourage you from drug or alcohol use, and teach you ways to make positive choices so that you do not fall back into substance abuse. You could also learn new coping methods and improve your relaxation, so you don't feel you have to abuse drugs or alcohol.
