List of Short Term Addiction Treatment Programs In Steamboat Rock, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Steamboat Rock, Iowa

Short term drug treatment is one of the more successful forms of addiction rehab. That is, it can prove beneficial for individuals in Steamboat Rock who are unable to participate in a long-term treatment program.

Yet, there are a few things you need to consider when choosing the rehabilitation center you are thinking about attending. The three major concerns include cost, success rates/effectiveness, and time.

Whereas no universal recovery method will work for all addicts, you will have several options to decide on dependent on your particular needs and desires. One of these options is short term drug and alcohol treatment.

In many instances, short term rehabilitation will require that you reside within the treatment program for a couple of weeks or so. These facilities are somewhat comparable to long-term addiction treatment except they are much shorter yet at the same time making sure that you get the support, attention, and supervision that will guarantee you do not relapse.

In particular, short term rehabilitation will range in length from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you may benefit from individual and group counseling and therapy even as you start learning more positive life skills and recovery tools that will help you to effectively handle any tempting situation you may run into rather than getting high or drunk.

Usually, short term addiction treatment in Steamboat Rock, IA. will start with medically managed detox. The length of this program will primarily depend on the severity of your drug or alcohol use as well as for how long you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you complete detoxification, the short term rehabilitation center will use other forms of treatment depending on your specific needs and requirements. For example, treatment may use the 12 step method to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatment components will hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other treatment approaches that may be offered through short term treatment include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these treatment methods can be offered in short term drug rehab to help modify your behavior, discourage you from drug or alcohol use, and teach you ways to make positive choices so that you don't relapse. You may also discover new coping strategies and improve your relaxation, so you don't feel you need to resort to drugs.
