Making Short Term Treatment Work in Stanhope, Iowa

Most commonly, completing short term drug or alcohol rehab means that you'll need to follow up with aftercare services such as going to individual and group counseling. Typically, addiction recovery is a long-term goal. Therefore you may want to continue with your treatment in other settings for a while - depending on how confident you are in your sobriety, your determination, and your health.

Therefore, the step-down method after completing a short term treatment program will consist of additional methods of recovery, including but not limited to:

  • Halfway houses
  • Intensive outpatient programs (IOP)
  • Outpatient treatments
  • Partial hospitalization programs (PHP)
  • Sober living homes
  • Support groups

In fact, even after you have completed a short term treatment center and have started transitioning into a new sober way of life, you will still require additional support and aftercare services. You may encounter these in group settings, such as by regularly attending 12-step support group meetings, or in an individualized atmosphere such as one-on-one counseling & therapy or outpatient therapy.

In general, the longer you stay committed to treatment and recovery, the higher your chances of successful recovery will be.

As you attempt sobriety and structure in your life, you will want to take the time to locate a good short term substance abuse rehab center in Stanhope that fits your particular needs and preferences.

While trying to find a short term treatment facility you may want to consider the following factors:

  • The cost of treatment
  • The type and severity of your addiction
  • If the facility accepts insurance
  • The location of the facility
  • The length of the treatment programs
  • If you are suffering from any co-occurring physical and mental health disorders
  • The length of the treatment programs
