List of Short Term Addiction Treatment Centers In Rossie, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Treatment in Rossie, Iowa

Short term drug and alcohol rehabilitation is one of the more effective forms of substance abuse rehabilitation. Notably, it may prove useful for people in Rossie who cannot go to a long-term rehabilitation program.

However, there are many factors you should look into when selecting the rehab program you are thinking about attending. The three primary concerns encompass effectiveness/success rates, cost, and program duration.

Since no universal recovery method will work for everyone, you will have several options to pick from depending on your specific needs and desires. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In most instances, short term rehab will require that you live within the rehab center for a few weeks. These programs are somewhat comparable to long-term treatment programs but they are much shorter in duration yet at the same time ensuring that you get the attention, support, and supervision to ensure you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term treatment will vary in duration from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you can participate in individual and group counseling while you also start discovering more positive life skills and recovery tools that will help you to deal with any problematic situation you encounter rather than resorting to substance abuse.

Usually, short term addiction treatment in Rossie, IA. will begin with medical detox. The program duration will largely depend on the severity of your addiction as well as the length of time you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you complete the detox step, the short term rehabilitation facility will perform other methods of treatment depending on your specific needs and requirements. For example, the program may use the 12 step method to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatments may help hold you accountable as you work through your recovery.

Other treatment approaches that may be available in short term rehab include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

These treatment methods may be used to help shape your way of thinking, deter you from drug or alcohol use, and show you how to make positive decisions so that you do not fall back into substance abuse. You might also discover helpful coping skills and improve your relaxation, so you do not feel you have to abuse drugs or alcohol.
