Understanding Short Term Drug Rehab in Pilot Mound, Iowa

Short term drug and alcohol rehab is among the effective forms of addiction rehabilitation. Notably, it may be beneficial for people in Pilot Mound who are unable to participate in a long-term rehabilitation program.

Although, there are a few factors you should look into when deciding on the rehabilitation program you are thinking about attending. The three primary factors are cost, success rates/effectiveness, and program duration.

Considering that no universal recovery method will work for everyone, you will have several treatment options to decide on depending on your particular requirements and preferences. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

In most instances, short term rehabilitation will require that you live within the rehab facility for a couple of weeks or so. These programs are somewhat comparable to long-term addiction treatment but they are quite a bit shorter yet at the same time making sure that you receive the support, attention, and supervision that will guarantee you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term treatment will vary in length from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you may benefit from individual and group counseling even as you continue learning effective life skills that will help you to deal with any tempting situation you may run into as opposed to resorting to substance abuse.

Typically, short term drug rehab in Pilot Mound, IA. will begin with detoxification. The program length will largely depend on the severity of your addiction as well as the length of time you have been using.

After you complete the detox step, the short term rehab center will utilize other forms of treatment tailored to your individual needs. For example, treatment might use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatments may help hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other treatment approaches that may be available through short term rehab include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
