List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs In Paton, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Treatment in Paton, Iowa

Short term drug and alcohol treatment is one of the more successful types of addiction treatment. Notably, it can be useful for people in Paton who cannot attend a long-term rehabilitation program.

Although, there are numerous factors you should look into when choosing the treatment center you are going to attend. The three major concerns are effectiveness/success rates, cost, and time.

Whereas no universal treatment plan will work for everyone, you will have some treatment options to decide on depending on your particular needs and preferences. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In many instances, short term rehab will require that you live within the recovery program for a few weeks. These types of programs are similar to long-term treatment programs but they are much shorter in duration yet at the same time making sure that you receive the attention, support, and monitoring to make sure you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term rehabilitation will vary in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you will benefit from individual and group counseling even as you start discovering more positive life skills and recovery tools that will help you to effectively handle any problematic situation you may run into rather than resorting to substance abuse.

Typically, short term addiction treatment in Paton, IA. will start with medically managed detox. The length of this program will mainly depend on the severity of your addiction as well as for how long you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you are done with detox, the short term treatment program will use other types of treatment tailored to your specific requirements and preferences. For example, treatment might use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatment components may help hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other forms of treatment that may be available through short term rehab include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

All these recovery techniques may be provided to help shape your way of thinking, discourage you from drug use, and show you ways to make positive decisions so that you don't fall back into substance abuse. You might also discover new coping methods and improve your relaxation, so you do not feel you have to abuse drugs or alcohol.
