List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment Facilities In Moorland, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehabilitation in Moorland, Iowa

Short term drug treatment is one of the more successful forms of substance abuse rehab. In particular, it may be beneficial for people in Moorland who cannot go to a long-term rehab program.

However, there are several things you should consider while deciding on the treatment program you are going to attend. The three primary factors encompass cost, success rates/effectiveness, and program duration.

Considering that no universal treatment method will work for all addicts, you will have some options to pick from dependent on your particular requirements and desires. Among these options is short term drug rehab.

In most cases, short term rehabilitation will require that you live within the recovery program for a few weeks. These facilities are similar to long-term addiction treatment but they are quite a bit shorter in duration while ensuring that you receive the attention, support, and supervision to make sure you stay sober.

Specifically, short term treatment will range in duration from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you will participate in individual and group counseling and therapy even as you continue learning more positive life skills that will empower you to confront any difficult situation you may experience instead of getting high or drunk.

Typically, short term drug rehab in Moorland, IA. will begin with medical detox. The program duration will mainly depend on the severity of your addiction as well as for how long you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you complete detox, the treatment program will perform other types of treatment depending on your specific needs. For example, the program might use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatment components may help hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other treatment methods that may be available in short term rehabilitation include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these recovery techniques may be offered to help shape your way of thinking, deter you from drug or alcohol use, and show you ways to make healthier decisions so that you don't relapse. You might also discover new coping methods and improve your relaxation, so you do not feel you need to abuse drugs or alcohol.
