Long Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation and Mental Health Care in Manning, Iowa

Upon completion of a long-term drug drug addiction program in Manning, you may still be required to continue with your rehabilitation. However, some individuals might start wondering why they need to spend such an extensive period of time in such a center.

In particular, they may imagine that it would be more effective to complete short-term treatment before enrolling in an intensive outpatient facility. Still, even though some addicted individuals have found sobriety through this type of rehab, there are individuals who would benefit more by spending several months in an inpatient facility. These include addicted individuals with less robust recovery skills as well as those who may require extra help and support to overcome their drug addiction.

These addicted individuals include those who:

  • Are utterly unable to structure their lives without abusing their alcohol and drugs of choice
  • Come from unsafe areas and homes that could tempt them to start using again
  • Have co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Start using harmful and mind-altering substances from a young age
  • Finished addiction treatment but relapse to their old using habits

In many instances, long term alcohol and drug rehab might also be accompanied by extended care and mental health treatment. This is because the mental illnesses tend to co-occur with drug addiction - by leading individuals to abuse drugs and alcohol or arising from drug and alcohol abuse - often require long term management and rehab.

Through a Manning, IA. long-term facility, therefore, you will receive all the care and help you need to conquer both your drug and alcohol abuse and any co-occurring mental health condition that you are suffering from.

If you choose short-term treatment, you might find that you particularly isolate yourself, neglect your health and wellness, and cease taking the prescription drugs that physicians recommended to you. This is why long-term drug rehab makes sense for individuals with co-occurring conditions and who need more intervention.
