List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehab Facilities In Jewell, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Jewell, Iowa

Short term drug treatment is among the effective types of addiction treatment. Notably, it might prove helpful for people in Jewell who are unable to attend a long-term rehab program.

However, there are many factors you should consider when deciding on the rehab center you are going to attend. The three primary concerns include effectiveness/success rates, cost, and time.

Considering that no universal treatment method will work for everyone, you will have some treatment options to choose from dependent on your particular requirements and preferences. One of these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In many cases, short term rehabilitation will have you live within the treatment facility for a few weeks. These programs are similar to long-term treatment programs but they last quite a bit shorter in duration while making sure that you get the support, attention, and monitoring to make sure you stay sober.

In particular, short term treatment will vary in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you can receive individual and group counseling and therapy even as you start learning effective life skills and recovery tools that will empower you to effectively handle any tempting situation you encounter instead of reaching for drugs or alcohol.

Typically, short term drug rehab in Jewell, IA. will begin with medical detox. The length of this program will largely depend on the dose and frequency of your substance abuse as well as the length of time you have been using.

After you are done with the detox step, the short term treatment center will perform other types of treatment tailored to your individual requirements and preferences. For instance, treatment might use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatment components will hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other treatment approaches that might be offered through short term rehabilitation include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

All these treatment methods may be offered in short term drug rehab to help modify your behavior, prevent you from continued substance abuse, and teach you how to make healthier choices so that you don't fall back into substance abuse. You could also learn helpful coping skills and help you to reduce anxiety, so you do not feel you have to use drugs.
