What is Short-Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Iowa Falls, Iowa

A short term drug rehab is best suited for people with a short history of abuse or abuser's that desire to stop using but are having some difficulty doing so. When you use alcohol or drugs that are addicting even for a brief period of time you can get addicted. Drug and alcohol addiction reveals itself when you make the decision to stop taking the substance but you are struggling due to psychological and/or physical withdrawal symptoms. If you use an addictive drug such as methamphetamine crack, heroin, norco, ativan, concerta or various other addictive drugs for even a brief duration of time you could find it difficult to stop on your own without help. When you discontinue addictive drugs abruptly you may experience what are known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms will produce both psychological and physical symptoms such as shakiness, weakness, craving, clammy skin, sweating, feeling cold, agitation, crying, irritability, excitability, restlessness, delirium, hallucinations, depression, severe anxiety, paranoia and more. Withdrawal symptoms can bring about compulsions to keep using the drug to alleviate the symptoms despite your intent to quit using the drug. If this sounds like you or your loved one's situation, then you can find recovery in a short term drug rehab program.

The initial step of a short term rehabilitation program for addiction is detox. Medical detox is a process that minimizes withdrawal symptoms with medications made to safely and comfortably ease you off the drug. After detox is done, you will be given psychological help and education to help you continue on with your recovery so that you can live a productive, clean & sober life. A short term addiction treatment program in Iowa Falls, IA is usually only 28 to 30 days in length and the recovery results can be life-changing for the whole family.
