Withdrawal symptoms can bring about both physical and psychological discomforts such as weakness, shakiness, craving, clammy skin, feeling cold, sweating, agitation, crying, excitability, irritability, delirium, restlessness, depression, hallucinations, severe anxiety, paranoia etc... Withdrawal symptoms can induce urges to continue taking the substance to relieve the symptoms even though you really desire to quit taking the drug. The very first step of a short term rehab program for addiction is the detox process. Medical detoxification is a process that helps to alleviate withdrawal symptoms with medications designed to safely and comfortably ease you off the substance. After detoxification is finished, you will be given psychological assistance and education to help you maintain your recovery so that you may live a substance free life. A short term treatment program in Havelock, IA is usually only 28 to 30 days in length and the recovery results can change your life forever.
