List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs In Greene, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehab in Greene, Iowa

Short term drug rehab is among the effective forms of addiction treatment. That is, it might prove helpful for clients in Greene who cannot go to a long-term rehabilitation program.

Yet, there are a few factors you need to consider when choosing the treatment center you are going to attend. The three primary concerns include cost, success rates/effectiveness, and time.

Because no universal treatment plan will work for all addicts, you will have a few treatment options to decide on subject to your particular requirements and preferences. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In most instances, short term rehabilitation will have you live within the recovery program for a couple of weeks or so. These programs are similar to long-term treatment programs but they last quite a bit shorter yet at the same time ensuring that you receive the attention, support, and supervision that will guarantee you stay sober.

In particular, short term rehabilitation will range in duration from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you will participate in individual and group therapy and counseling while you also continue learning more positive life skills that will help you to confront any tempting situation you encounter as opposed to getting high or drunk.

Usually, short term rehab in Greene, IA. will begin with medical detox. The program length will primarily depend on the severity of your substance abuse as well as the length of time you have been using.

After you finish detox, the treatment program will use other forms of treatment depending on your individual needs. For example, the program may use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatment components will hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other treatment approaches that may be available through short term rehab include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these recovery techniques may be performed to help modify your behavior, discourage you from continued drug or alcohol use, and teach you how to make positive decisions so that you don't relapse. You could also discover new coping methods and help you to reduce anxiety, so you don't feel you have to use drugs.
