List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities In Goodell, Iowa

What is Short-Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Goodell, Iowa

A short term drug and alcohol treatment program is most appropriate for short term substance users or abuser's that wish to quit abusing drugs or alcohol but are finding it difficult to do so. When you use substances that are addicting even for a short duration of time you can become dependent. Drug and alcohol dependence exposes itself when you decide you are going to stop taking the substance but you are unable to because of the psychological and/or physical withdrawal symptoms. If you use a habit forming substance such as methamphetamine crack cocaine, heroin, lortab, ritalin, codeine or various other potentially addictive substances for even a brief amount of time you could find it difficult to stop on your own without help. If this is the case, a short term drug rehab program in Goodell could be the right fit.

When you discontinue addictive substances abruptly you may experience what are known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms can cause both psychological and physical discomforts such as shakiness, weakness, craving, clammy skin, feeling cold, sweating, watery eyes, agitation, irritability, excitability, delirium, restlessness, depression, hallucinations, paranoia, severe anxiety etc... Withdrawal symptoms can induce urges to keep using the substance to alleviate the symptoms even though you really desire to discontinue using the substance. If this describes the situation that you find yourself in, then you can find recovery in a short term drug and alcohol treatment facility.

The very first step of a short term rehabilitation program for addiction is the detox process. Medical detox is a process that helps to alleviate withdrawal symptoms with medications designed to safely and comfortably wean you off the substance. After detoxification is done, you will receive psychological help and education to help you continue on with your recovery so that you may live a substance free life. A short term rehab program in Goodell, IA is typically 28 to 30 days in length although the end results can last a lifetime.
