List of Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs In Gilmore City, Iowa

How Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Works in Gilmore City, Iowa

If you have been struggling with a severe substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation might not prove to be enough for you. Before you look for treatment for your addiction, you must first go through detox to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient addiction treatment program will start the official work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work best if you have already completed another form of rehab - such as a staying in an inpatient alcohol and drug rehab facility. You should also be deemed medically stable enough that you can comfortably pursue treatment and recovery with little to no assistance and monitoring.

When you enter into an outpatient drug and alcohol rehab center in Gilmore City, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Family therapy sessions
  • Group counseling and individual meetings for support and encouragement
  • Individual therapy and counseling
  • Organization and management of prescribed medications for co-occurring disorders
  • Diet Management
  • One on one therapy sessions with licensed treatment counselors
  • Recreational therapy
  • Relapse Prevention Skills
  • Sober living housing, where required

Since outpatient rehab does not expect that you live inside the facility, it means that you might need to dedicate yourself to recovery so that the program proves fruitful in the long run. You should also desire sobriety and abstain from drugs without any monitoring or care.

As long as your surroundings are conducive to your recovery, you may find that outpatient alcohol and drug treatment is the best option. This is because you will get help and care at home so that you can carry on focusing on overcoming your addiction - with none of the pitfalls you may have encountered in the past.
