List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities In Gilbert, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Treatment in Gilbert, Iowa

Short term drug rehab is among the successful types of addiction treatment. In particular, it might be appropriate for clients in Gilbert who cannot attend a long-term rehab program.

Yet, there are a few things you need to consider when selecting the treatment center you are thinking about attending. The three main concerns are effectiveness/success rates, cost, and program duration.

Considering that no universal recovery method will work for all addicts, you will have some options to pick from dependent on your particular needs and desires. Among these options is short term drug treatment.

In most instances, short term rehabilitation will require that you reside within the treatment facility for a few weeks. These types of programs are somewhat comparable to long-term addiction treatment except they are quite a bit shorter while making sure that you obtain the support, attention, and supervision that will guarantee you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term rehab will vary in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you will participate in individual and group therapy and counseling even as you start discovering more positive life skills that will allow you to confront any tempting situation you may run into instead of resorting to substance abuse.

Usually, short term addiction treatment in Gilbert, IA. will start with detoxification. The duration of the program will mainly depend on the dose and frequency of your drug or alcohol use as well as the length of time you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you are done with the detox step, the rehabilitation program will perform other types of treatment tailored to your particular needs. For instance, the program might use the 12 step method to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatments will hold you accountable as you try to overcome your recovery.

Other treatment methods that might be available through short term rehab include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

These recovery techniques can be provided in short term drug rehab to help shape your way of thinking, deter you from substance abuse, and show you ways to make positive choices so that you don't fall back into substance abuse. You may also learn helpful coping skills and help you to reduce anxiety, so you do not feel you need to use drugs.
