Do I Need Long Term Drug Rehab in Geneva, Iowa?

What is an addictive or psychoactive drug? An addictive or psychoactive drug is a drug such as heroin, crack cocaine, crystal meth, norco, rohypnol, concerta etc... that works predominantly upon the central nervous system where it alters brain function, which causes momentary changes in awareness, mood, alertness and behavior. Addictive drugs also change the personalities of the individuals that use them and these changes in personality and behavior are usually very detrimental and troublesome. When a person begins using an addictive substance they may experience a false perception of euphoria brought on by the drug. When repeated regularly for an extended period of time the individual will acquire an addiction to the substance. Addiction will usually be a tremendous affliction in one's life. A person never purposefully tries to produce this nightmare, known as addiction, on themselves, instead the individual was simply ignorant of the negative repercussions and they could only identify the euphoria it seemed to produce at first and they thought it would always be that way.

Luckily there are solutions for those in Geneva, Iowa struggling with drug or alcohol addiction. A long term addiction requires a comprehensive inpatient treatment program. Addiction is a problem that can be resolved but it's not handled overnight. The most effective approach to treat drug and alcohol addiction today is long term residential treatment. Just as no one purposefully tries to develop an addiction to drugs, no one has to continue to be addicted if they receive the professional rehabilitation that they need to fix the problem.

Acquiring professional treatment for your loved one can save their life and restore peace and serenity in the household.

If you have attempted to help an addicted person on your own but have been unsuccessful, here are some of the benefits of getting professional help for a loved one's substance abuse problem.

  • It removes them from the negative environment where their substance abuse is taking place.
  • Separating them from drug dealers and substance abusing friends.
  • If they are involved in dangerous activities and behaviors they will have safety and security in a rehab program.
  • It places them into a drug free safe supervised setting.
  • The chaos that always accompanies addiction will diminish for everybody once the person is in the recovery program.
  • The cost of addiction far outweighs the price of treatment.
  • The individual will obtain 24 hr care including medically monitored services through the detoxification process.
  • The individual will be provided the counseling and support that is needed to get their life back on track.
  • The person will learn how to accept responsibility for the damage that they have caused to themselves and their loved ones.
  • They will learn the life and coping skills they will need to recover.
  • They will learn who they really are again and regain self worth again.
  • Physiological and emotional therapy provides significant benefits for long term rehabilitation.
  • The individual will learn to spot drug use triggers and how to overcome them rather than relapsing.
  • The individual will learn about relapse prevention plans, so that they can maintain their sobriety when they come home.
  • In summary a Drug Rehabilitation Program in Geneva can save a persons life and bring back the person they once were before addiction.
