List of Short Term Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities In Fenton, Iowa

What is Short-Term Rehabilitation in Fenton, Iowa

A short term drug and alcohol rehab center is best suited for short term substance users or abuser's that wish to stop abusing drugs or alcohol but are finding it difficult to do so. When you use alcohol or drugs that are addicting even for a brief duration of time you can get addicted. Drug and alcohol addiction reveals itself when you make the decision to stop using the substance but you are having difficulty because of the psychological and/or physical withdrawal symptoms. If you use a habit forming drug such as meth crack cocaine, heroin, roxycodone, adderall, codeine or any other addictive drugs for even a brief duration of time you could have a hard time stopping on your own without help. If this is the case, a short term drug rehabilitation program in Fenton can help you.

When you quit addictive drugs cold turkey you may develop what are known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms will result in both physical and psychological discomforts such as weakness, shakiness, craving, clammy skin, sweating, feeling cold, watery eyes, agitation, irritability, excitability, restlessness, delirium, depression, hallucinations, paranoia, severe anxiety and more. Withdrawal symptoms can bring about compulsions to keep using the drug to ease the symptoms even though you really desire to discontinue using the substance. If this sounds like you or your loved one's situation, then you could receive effective help from a short term drug and alcohol rehabilitation program.

The first phase of a short term treatment program for addiction is detox. Medical detoxification is a process that works to manage withdrawal symptoms with medications made to gently and safely wean you off the drug. After detox is done, you will be given psychological help and education to help you continue on with your recovery so that you may live a substance free life. A short term substance abuse program in Fenton, IA is usually only 28 to 30 days although the benefits can last a lifetime.
