List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment Facilities In Everly, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehab in Everly, Iowa

Short term drug and alcohol treatment is one of the more successful types of addiction rehabilitation. That is, it can be helpful for clients in Everly who are unable to participate in a long-term rehabilitation program.

However, there are several factors you should consider when deciding on the rehab facility you are thinking about attending. The three main factors include cost, success rates/effectiveness, and time.

Considering that no universal recovery method will work for all addicts, you will have some treatment options to choose from depending on your particular requirements and desires. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol treatment.

In most cases, short term rehabilitation will have you reside within the rehab facility for a couple of weeks or so. These facilities are somewhat comparable to long-term addiction treatment except they last quite a bit shorter yet at the same time making sure that you obtain the attention, support, and monitoring that will guarantee you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term rehabilitation will vary in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you will participate in individual and group therapy and counseling while you also start discovering effective life skills and recovery tools that will help you to effectively handle any problematic situation you may experience rather than getting high or drunk.

In most cases, short term drug rehab in Everly, IA. will start with medically managed detox. The program duration will primarily depend on the severity of your addiction as well as for how long you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you complete detoxification, the treatment program will use other types of treatment tailored to your particular requirements and preferences. For instance, treatment might use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatments may help hold you accountable as you work through your recovery.

Other treatment methods that might be available in short term treatment include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these treatment methods can be used to help shape your way of thinking, discourage you from substance abuse, and show you ways to make healthier decisions so that you do not fall back into substance abuse. You may also learn helpful coping strategies and improve your relaxation, so you don't feel you have to resort to drugs.
