What is Short-Term Drug Treatment in Dolliver, Iowa

A short term drug and alcohol treatment center is is designed for short term substance users or abuser's that wish to quit abusing drugs or alcohol but are finding it difficult to do so. When you use substances that form dependence/addiction even for a brief period of time you can get addicted. Drug and alcohol addiction manifests itself when you decide you are going to stop using the substance but you are having difficulty due to psychological and/or physical withdrawal symptoms. If you use a habit forming drug such as meth cocaine, heroin, lortab, ritalin, valium or various other addictive substances for even a short amount of time you could have a hard time stopping on your own. If this is the case, a short term drug treatment center in Dolliver could be the right fit.

When you discontinue addictive substances suddenly you may develop physical effects known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms will cause both physical and psychological symptoms such as weakness, shakiness, craving, clammy skin, sweating, feeling cold, agitation, crying, irritability, excitability, restlessness, delirium, depression, hallucinations, severe anxiety, paranoia and more. Withdrawal symptoms can bring about compulsions to continue taking the drug to alleviate the symptoms even though you really desire to stop using the drug. If this sounds like you or your loved one's situation, you can receive effective help from a short term drug rehabilitation program.

The very first phase of a short term treatment center for addiction is detox. Medical detox is a process that helps to alleviate withdrawal symptoms with medications designed to safely and comfortably ease you off the drug. After detox is done, you will be given psychological support and counseling to help you continue on with your recovery so that you may live a productive, clean & sober life. A short term addiction treatment program in Dolliver, IA is usually only 28 to 30 days but the recovery results can change your life forever.
