List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities In Curlew, Iowa

What is Short-Term Treatment in Curlew, Iowa

A short term drug rehab center is most appropriate for people with a short history of abuse or abuser's that wish to quit using but are finding it difficult to do so. When you use alcohol or drugs that form dependence/addiction even for a brief duration of time you can become dependent. Drug and alcohol dependence manifests itself when you make the decision to stop taking the substance but you are struggling because of the physical and/or psychological withdrawal symptoms. If you use a habit forming substance such as methamphetamine crack, heroin, xanax, demerol, valium or various other potentially addictive substances for even a brief duration of time you may have a hard time stopping on your own. If this is the case, a short term drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in Curlew can help you.

When you quit addictive drugs suddenly you may develop what are known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms can result in both physical and psychological symptoms such as shakiness, weakness, clammy skin, craving, feeling cold, sweating, agitation, crying, irritability, excitability, delirium, restlessness, depression, hallucinations, paranoia, severe anxiety etc... Withdrawal symptoms can bring about compulsions to keep using the substance to relieve the symptoms despite your intent to stop using the substance. If this sounds like you or your loved one's situation, you can find recovery in a short term addiction treatment program.

The very first phase of a short term rehab center for addiction is the detox process. Medical detox is a process that works to manage withdrawal symptoms with medications made to gently and safely wean you off the substance. After detoxification is complete, you will receive psychological support and counseling to help you strengthen your recovery so that you can live a productive, clean & sober life. A short term substance abuse program in Curlew, IA is usually only 28 to 30 days although the benefits can change your life forever.
