List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabs In Coon Rapids, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehab in Coon Rapids, Iowa

Short term drug rehab is one of the more effective types of substance abuse treatment. In particular, it may be useful for people in Coon Rapids who are unable to participate in a long-term treatment program.

However, there are a few things you need to look into while choosing the rehabilitation center you are thinking about attending. The three major concerns encompass cost, success rates/effectiveness, and time.

Considering that no universal recovery plan will work for all addicts, you will have several options to pick from depending on your particular requirements and preferences. Among these options is short term drug rehab.

In many cases, short term rehab will have you live within the rehab center for a few weeks. These facilities are somewhat comparable to long-term rehab programs except they last quite a bit shorter in duration while ensuring that you get the support, attention, and monitoring to make sure you stay sober.

In particular, short term treatment will range in length from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you can benefit from individual and group therapy and counseling even as you start learning effective life skills that will empower you to confront any problematic situation you encounter rather than getting high or drunk.

Usually, short term drug rehab in Coon Rapids, IA. will start with medical detox. The duration of the program will mainly depend on the dose and frequency of your substance abuse as well as for how long you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you complete detoxification, the short term treatment center will perform other methods of treatment depending on your particular requirements and preferences. For instance, the program might use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatment components may help hold you accountable as you try to overcome your addiction.

Other forms of treatment that might be available through short term rehab include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

These treatment methods can be performed in short term drug rehab to help shape your way of thinking, prevent you from substance abuse, and teach you ways to make healthier decisions so that you do not relapse. You may also learn new coping skills and help you to reduce anxiety, so you don't feel you have to use drugs.
