List of Short Term Addiction Treatment Facilities In Boyden, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Boyden, Iowa

Short term drug rehabilitation is one of the more successful types of addiction rehab. In particular, it might prove useful for clients in Boyden who cannot participate in a long-term rehabilitation program.

However, there are a few factors you need to look into while selecting the rehabilitation center you are thinking about attending. The three primary factors encompass effectiveness/success rates, cost, and time.

Whereas no universal treatment plan will work for everyone, you will have several treatment options to pick from dependent on your particular requirements and preferences. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In most instances, short term rehab will have you reside within the rehab center for a few weeks. These facilities are similar to long-term rehab programs except they are much shorter in duration yet at the same time making sure that you receive the attention, support, and supervision to make sure you stay sober.

In particular, short term treatment will range in duration from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you can receive individual and group counseling even as you start learning effective life skills that will empower you to effectively handle any problematic situation you encounter as opposed to reaching for drugs or alcohol.

Usually, short term rehab in Boyden, IA. will begin with medical detox. The duration of the program will largely depend on the dose and frequency of your addiction as well as the length of time you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you complete the detox step, the short term rehabilitation program will perform other methods of treatment tailored to your individual requirements and preferences. For instance, the program may use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatments will hold you accountable as you work through your recovery.

Other forms of treatment that may be offered in short term rehabilitation include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these recovery techniques can be provided to help modify your behavior, prevent you from continued drug or alcohol use, and show you how to make positive choices so that you don't relapse. You may also discover new coping skills and help you to reduce anxiety, so you do not feel you have to use drugs.
